Ok well an update is needed. It's December 6th! We are all finally over the flu, thank goodness, that is unless Riley chooses to get it. Plus we added a new member to our family, Louie. Murphy passed away about a month ago, and he was really my cat. The kids wanted their own pet, so we got Louie. He's so sweet and playful, plus a snuggler.
Life is plugging along and our basement is finished, whew! We are getting ready for the holidays and Riley's birthday. December is crazy busy for everyone and then to add birthdays. We are hoping McDonalds will be accomodating for us.

Happy Columbus Day!

Well, it's happy for me b/c I'm off school. I, of course, make dr. appointments on my days off. So Yipee.

I'm going to look for a sectional in Tuscola for our basement, which hopefully will be finished in the next few days! I'll put up pics when it's done!

Aidan had a good parent teacher conference and is doing super well academically, just needs to work on his socialness and impulsiveness. The boy thinks Kindergarten is a party every day! Wonder where that came from.

Riley is still my little stinker who goes from super loving to super ornery. She loves school and loves to do homework just like her brother. She's super independent and can drive her mommy crazy lately.

Lots of changes going on!

Weekend madness

Well we are go go go! It seems like we have something to do 24/7 and our kids are only 5 and 3. Good lord what do we have to look forward to.

The basement is still not finished, and I realize that finishing a basement isn't always top of mind for contractors. argh. We've had to micromanage and I hate that. I'm hoping it'll be done within a couple of weeks. One can cross their fingers.

Chris and I celebrated our 9th anniversary on Sept. 25th and it just seems like yesterday we were in the church exchanging our vows.

It's definitely fall and it's just been beautiful here in central Illinois. We are sleeping with the windows open and loving it! Ok Caramel apples from Dells doesn't hurt either. The sad thing is I bought one for Aidan and Riley and they picked off the good sticky stuff and ate the apples. lol

Work is going well, always stress with current laws and wondering where people really think we are going to find more time in the day to add items to our academic list.

Chris is doing well at his job, but I think sometimes he brings his work personality home and tries to micromanage me. And you know how well I deal with that. hee hee. They are having a record year of sales and I'm not surprised, he's good at everything he does. Although he is awfully humble about his accomplishments.

I'm still trying to figure out pictures and how to add them to the blogs. When I do I'll add to it.

First day of the blogging adventure.

Well it's a day after my birthday and 40 wasn't as painful as I thought it might be. Ok, it pretty much sucked. One of Chris' friends told him "Well, now you are half done." It was made in jest, but it struck home to me.

I don't want to be half done. Time has just flown by, and it doesn't help that I have a strong long term memory. I have many memories of my childhood on up. I self analyze a lot and look at how my life has changed throughout the years. So saying the number 40 really bugs me. lol

Enough about my 40 yr. old angst.

The Bullock family is loving their home still and we adore our neighborhood. We have had many good neighbors and made some really close friends.

Aidan is just a hop, skip and a jump away from McGaughey Elementary where he goes to Kindergarten. Aidan will be playing basketball in the fall and has grown up so much in the last year, so I think he'll be totally ready for it.

Riley is ornery and super independent. I don't think she enjoys being the youngest and wants to do everything Aidan is doing. She is now attending preschool and loves it. She is hoping to do dance this year, but if not we'll be doing gymnastics.

Chris still loves his job and he's just as busy as before. We are planning to go to Nashville soon for a Titan Vs. Jets game. Chris' boss bought those for us. We are very excited.

I'm still teaching in Cerro Gordo and I like it. 5th grade is a good year to teach and the kids are pretty nice.

We are finishing our basement so I'll be posting some pics of that, too.
