Well it's a day after my birthday and 40 wasn't as painful as I thought it might be. Ok, it pretty much sucked. One of Chris' friends told him "Well, now you are half done." It was made in jest, but it struck home to me.
I don't want to be half done. Time has just flown by, and it doesn't help that I have a strong long term memory. I have many memories of my childhood on up. I self analyze a lot and look at how my life has changed throughout the years. So saying the number 40 really bugs me. lol
Enough about my 40 yr. old angst.
The Bullock family is loving their home still and we adore our neighborhood. We have had many good neighbors and made some really close friends.
Aidan is just a hop, skip and a jump away from McGaughey Elementary where he goes to Kindergarten. Aidan will be playing basketball in the fall and has grown up so much in the last year, so I think he'll be totally ready for it.
Riley is ornery and super independent. I don't think she enjoys being the youngest and wants to do everything Aidan is doing. She is now attending preschool and loves it. She is hoping to do dance this year, but if not we'll be doing gymnastics.
Chris still loves his job and he's just as busy as before. We are planning to go to Nashville soon for a Titan Vs. Jets game. Chris' boss bought those for us. We are very excited.
I'm still teaching in Cerro Gordo and I like it. 5th grade is a good year to teach and the kids are pretty nice.
We are finishing our basement so I'll be posting some pics of that, too.
